Leave Page popup warning. Members please read:

We’ve recently updated EveryStem with additional security enhancements. Following these changes, you may notice a pop-up message in your browser when you navigate away from events to your dashboard or other pages.

Example pop-up messages:

We cannot customize this pop-up message; it is set by the browser and is not clearly worded.

So we wanted to inform you about why you may see this message and what button you should click.

EveryStem automatically saves your event frequently as you work, but it is not instantaneous; there will be brief periods when unsaved changes are awaiting the next autosave. Clicking on the dashboard, library, or other page links when your event has unsaved changes will trigger this pop-up message from your browser to warn you about unsaved changes in your event.

So what should you do?

ALWAYS click on “Cancel” or “Stay on Page”. This will return you to the event where you have several options to ensure your last changes are saved: a) manually click the Save button in the event, b) wait a few seconds for the next autosave, or c) navigate to another page in the event which should trigger an autosave. Once you see the saved message appear in the top right corner of your event you’re all set. You can then safely navigate to the dashboard or other pages.

DO NOT click “Leave” or “Leave Page”. This will result in your last event change(s) going unsaved.

As a best practice, when you finish a working session exit the event by returning to the dashboard.
We do not advise leaving events open and idle in your browser for an extended period.
